As I said a couple of weeks ago, one of my thoughts this year is to introduce you to some other outdoor cooking blogs and websites that I follow. The people that run these blogs have great information and cook amazing food! I enjoy following what they do and reading their blogs, and so should you.
The first outdoor cooking website that I would like to introduce you to is AmazingRibs.com by Craig "Meathead" Goldwyn. If you want to know lots about the science of barbecue and grilling and read detailed reviews of equipment, and see tons of tips for cooking amazing food, including ribs, then be sure to check out this site.
His recipe section includes recipes from pork to pizza and beef to desserts. He tells you how to cook a wide variety of things on the grill or bbq. What stands out to me is the detailed descriptions and instructions he gives. For example, on his page about barbecuing brisket, he has written almost 8000 words on the subject, gives you the top keys to successfully barbecuing brisket, a long with some great pictures.
He has a gift shop with some fun things for the outdoor cook in your life, and a Refrigerator Magnet Temperature Guide.
I really like his technique page, where Meathead has links to tons of tips and tricks--things like calibrating your grill and smoker, The Zen of Charcoal (he has lots of "Zen" pages), and his Mythbusting series (Do you really need to let the meat rest after you grill it?).
Meathead has articles in lots of places around the internet, include the Huffington Post. All in all, he has some great content and if you want to know all the nitty gritty details, check out AmazingRibs.com.
P.S. What are the outdoor cooking websites and blogs that you follow?
